The most difficult aspect of being a novice marketer is generating traffic. They frequently aren’t aware of free traffic methods and don’t have a large ad budget.
Thankfully, this post will teach you 5 distinct free traffic strategies that novices may use to obtain a steady stream of visitors without spending any money.
Remember that these strategies are unlikely to generate a server-melting tsunami of traffic right away. Any product that claims to generate thousands of visitors with a single click should be avoided at all costs. We all start with small quantities of traffic from one or two sources and progressively increase it. This is true whether they pay for traffic or receive it for free.
Consider traffic generation as if you were a spider weaving a web. You construct one strand at a time, and after a large number of strands, you have a gigantic web through which anyone may access your website.
Newbies will frequently attempt one strategy, see little traffic or a few clicks, and then abandon it because they are not making enough money quickly enough. Patience is a virtue, and remember the spider’s web-building analogy!
So here are 5 simple free traffic strategies for newbies that you can start implementing right now:
1. Joining Facebook groups
Find and join groups that are focused on the same niche as your website or niche. Join rose gardening clubs if you have a blog about rose gardening. You see what I mean.
After you’ve been admitted into the group(s), begin participating in the discussions. The goal at first is to establish a presence and become a familiar face. If you start posting links on the first day, you’ll be out of the group in no time.
If you can give meaningful information on the subject, you will gain reputation and possibly even authority after a period. You should start making posts for the group once you’ve established some credibility. Make posts directly to the FB group’s feed. Then, once you’ve established a solid following in the group, start posting links to stuff on your website.
You can start your own FB group and become the star of your own FB show if you get a bit renowned and have some authority in those communities.
2. Faceless videos on Youtube
Most novices dislike speaking in front of the camera, but you don’t have to because there are various sorts of films you can make that don’t require you to show your face or speak.
Explainer videos are likely the most straightforward to begin with. Consider some “How to” themes that are relevant to your area. You should utilize Google Keyword Planner to get a list of “how to” keyword ideas for video titles. These keyword suggestions will also show you what others are looking for. To get a respectable amount of views, etc., you should strive to incorporate popular keyword terms in your video titles.
Next, make a PowerPoint slideshow about your “5 Steps To Bigger Biceps in 7 Days” (or whatever title you like) and record it with screen-capture software like Camtasia or the free OBS studio. You don’t even have to say anything in the video. People have the ability to read. To spice it up a little, get some royalty-free photos and music to go with your slideshow. So there you have it! You’ve completed your first YouTube video. While uploading your video, include a link to your website in the description box. It’s also a good idea to include a call to action at the end of your video, directing viewers to your website for further information.
3.Instagram
Instagram is a lot of fun and a great source of traffic. Here’s how to utilize Instagram to promote your business for free without having to create content or take selfies.
Make a new account dedicated to your niche. Give your account a catch-all type, general name like “Golfers Worldwide” or “Gym Addicts” because you’ll be publishing a collection/mash-up/ of other people’s work (which is fine if you tag and mention the original source). The first step is to customize your Instagram account page. You should design your own logo or pay $5 on Fiverr to have one created for you. Include a link to your website in your profile.
Find and follow the top accounts and influencers in your niche. Your feed will begin to fill up quickly! Then it’s just a matter of reprinting the most popular posts while crediting the author. You can do this manually by taking screenshots of the post, or you can save time by downloading the Repost app on your smartphone, which makes reposting a breeze. This is, once again, a long-term approach based on data. The more you post, the more people will notice you. Adding a dozen or so relevant hashtags to each post is the key to getting the most bang for your buck.
Wait until you have a significant amount of followers before posting your own content, and make sure to remind your fans that your link is in your profile, because you can’t publish clickable links on Instagram.
This same fundamental strategy may be used on social media sites such as Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. If you try to accomplish this on all social media platforms, you’ll be swamped, so focus on one or two, or hire a virtual assistant to help you post on a daily basis.
4. Search Engine Optimization and Blogging
Search Engine Optimization, or “SEO,” is a word that refers to optimizing your website’s pages so that they appear high in Google’s search results pages. Finally, if your page was ranked first on Google for the keyword “how to make money online,” you’d have thousands of monthly visits. (Thanks to Google Keyword Planner,” /> ) 10K to 100K individuals search for the term on a monthly basis.) And those visitors would be totally unrestricted! Isn’t it incredible? Don’t overlook SEO because Google search traffic is among the highest-quality traffic available.
Here’s how to optimize your website for search engines. I strongly advise you to use WordPress to create any form of blog or content-rich website. If you’re new to WordPress, I’ve put up a list of free WordPress tutorials for you. There are so many plugins and themes available, as well as WordPress specialists who can help you, that it’ll be the greatest option for you.
After you’ve installed WordPress on your domain, go over this quick SEO checklist for WordPress:
1.Have a quick hosting service
2.Install a mobile-friendly theme.
3.Install a search engine optimization plugin (i.e. Yoast or All in One SEO plugin)
4.Set HTTPS on the selected domain of your website (You can get a free SSL cert through Cloudflare)
5.In the WP options, enable SEO-friendly permalinks.
6.Submit your XML sitemap and verify your site with Google Search Console.
7.RESEARCH KEYWORDS! (Get a list of keyword suggestions from Google Keyword planner)
8.When you post to your site, create custom URLs for pages and articles (by default WP will use your blog post title as the URL)
9.In your content, make use of optimized page headings (e.g. sub headings)
10.Make use of internal links (link to other posts on your blog from within your post)
11.Use optimized file names for images
The basic set-up steps are steps 1 through 7. Steps 8–11 must be followed each time you make a post to your site. Of course, keyword research is something you can perform whenever you run out of terms or want a new list to work with.
Google should begin indexing your pages after your site is up and running with good content, and traffic should begin to flow. Regular updates to your website will inform Google that it is active and receiving new content.
The next step is to attempt to obtain backlinks. They’re the greatest locations to start if you have social media profiles. Another option is to swap links with other website owners, which is the next strategy.
5. Exchange links with other marketers
strategies for generating free traffic exchange of links
This is an old free traffic approach that still works when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck. It’s a ten-minute job that could result in long-term traffic. I recommend having a blog or other content-rich type of site to make this function best. Here’s how to get started with link exchanges.
To begin, sign up for many newsletters (email lists) in similar niches to yours. You should read these emails and strive to form relationships with the people who sent them. Respond to their emails and, if you’re feeling brave, buy one of their things! Get your foot in the door since these are the people with whom you can create your company.
Once you’ve established some conversation and made friends with a few marketers, ask if they’d be interested in exchanging website links. In other words, you link to their site from yours and vice versa. You must have a good website because they will not want to link to a site that is completely useless. If they say yes, that’s fantastic! You can get a link on their site that will drive visitors to your site and help with SEO, if their site isn’t too bad.
The true treasure here, though, is that you’ve made a contact and a friend with whom you might conduct future work. You could perform blog post swaps, banner ad swaps, email ad swaps, or anything else you can think of that would benefit both parties.
Although the internet makes it simple to interact with others, we often ignore the importance of developing genuine personal relationships on it. We’re all too focused on getting ahead of the competition to realize that collaborating with others might be beneficial as well.
There’s nothing here that’s overly complex. As I previously stated, traffic will arrive in waves, so don’t get disheartened if you don’t have thousands of visitors on day one. If you work on one of these approaches every day for a few weeks, you’ll see that traffic begins to trickle in and gradually snowballs.
On my blog, I have several traffic strategies. If you’re interested, have a look.
To your success,
